Pressure Moments: the ability shows up at training but disappears when it counts. That's not a skill problem — it's a belief problem. Pressure-proof confidence is built through the body, in small repeated wins, not through pep talks before the game.
"I can't" before they've tried is the gap talking. Telling them they CAN doesn't close it — proving it does. Kids change their self-talk when their body gives them evidence their mind can't argue with.
Physical Confidence: your child holds back physically because they don't fully trust their own body yet. This is the most fixable gap of all — movement mastery gives them tangible, visible proof of capability, and confidence follows it.
Bounce-Back: resilience isn't a personality trait — it's a trained response. Kids learn to bounce back by being coached through struggle, not rescued from it. Signs of a low Bounce-Back score include one mistake ruining the rest of their game, wanting to quit after a setback, or a silent car ride home after a bad performance.
